The beginning
Our journey began in 1964 when Dionysios Zois founded the enterprise "Dionysos."
the first pistachio trees
With the acquisition of the first pistachio tree plantations, he initiated his own production. Simultaneously, the "Dionysos" store on the port of Aegina operated as a pastry shop, later adding the fruits of its production. Subsequently, the first processing and manufacturing laboratory for Aegina pistachios was established in the area of Myloi, pioneering in the field. The evolution continued with the addition of products based on our pistachios.
our progress
The progress of the business led to collaboration with further producers on the island, always aiming for quality. Throughout the development of our production unit, the representative element remains the authenticity of all products. Handmade products, crafted exclusively from pure ingredients and recipes inspired by us. From day one, our primary priority has always been consumer safety, leading to the acquisition of the "Food Quality Assurance" certification according to EU standards. At the same time, the processing and processing of organic pistachios are carried out exclusively in our facilities under the auspices of the "DIO" organization, the certification body for organic products, as well as with the assurance of the "PDO" certification for protected designation of origin.
60 years later
After 60 years of operation, we produce over 30 products based on Aegina Pistachios P.D.O., and our "lab" now establishes the first and only Vertical Processing and Production Unit for Aegina Pistachios in the Balkans.
